Focallure Eyeshadow – We Care Your Favors 01 Bright Lux (Pigmented Texture, Affordable Price!)

Which eyeshadow colors do you use more often—bold or subtle ones? As for me, I prefer subtle colors with a touch of boldness. Honestly, I rarely use eyeshadow daily, and when I do, it's usually brown, brown, and more brown.

It all starts with picking the right eyeshadow palette. Besides enjoying trying different shades of eye makeup, I often don't know which eyeshadow color to use when going to weddings. So, I go for a palette with neutral shades and some bold colors, like the one I'm discussing today. The Focallure Eyeshadow in the "We Care Your Favors 01 Bright Lux" edition helps me overcome this dilemma! It has calm, earthy tones and some shades that are perfect for a bold look. I found out about Focallure when it was super hyped as a brand with great quality but affordable prices. People rave about their eyeshadows being super pigmented and long-lasting. But how good, pigmented, and long-lasting are they really? I had to find out for myself.

Packaging

When I bought it, the eyeshadow was still in its box, which I've since thrown away because it's a hassle to open every time I want to use it, haha. The box was matte black with the Focallure brand name on it, similar to what's on the packaging in the photo. When you open the box, you see the Focallure eyeshadow, shaped like a small book, in glossy black. It has the Focallure name and "We Care Your Favors" edition in the middle of the front, with a glossy pastel pink background. The sides also have a pastel pink accent, giving it a soft and elegant look.

How Does It Smell?

The "We Care Your Favors" palette has a scent that's not too strong, somewhat like chalk but not as sharp. When I smell it, it reminds me of old-school compact powder.

Swatches and Pigmentation

This eyeshadow palette has 8 shimmer and 10 matte shades. The palette has colors suitable for daily wear and some for a smoky eye look, thanks to the black and gray shades. From the swatches, the shimmer shades are more visible and pigmented than the matte ones.

You can see the shade names in the photo. I was curious why the 'moonlight' shade was placed among the mattes. At first, I thought it was matte, but after swatching, I saw it had some shimmer. Does anyone know why?

What I like about this eyeshadow is that it doesn't fall out when picked up with a finger, and it stays put on the eyelids. The texture is not too hard; it is more on the soft side when touched. For swatches on the eyelids, the eyeshadow blends easily even without a primer.

The Longevity

Surprisingly, this eyeshadow stays put even when it gets wet. It doesn't fade when gently rubbed with a finger. But it comes off easily with oil; just one wipe and it's gone.

Conclusion

With 18 shades and a price below $8, this eyeshadow palette is incredibly affordable. Plus, with its good pigmentation, no fallout, and suitability for daily use, one palette might be enough if you only want one. As for repurchasing, I can't say I will because it will last a while, and I'm curious about other Focallure eyeshadow collections, haha.

If you've tried this eyeshadow, what do you think?
